Announcing: WTOC 2010

Wolf Trap just announced its 2010 summer season, and I'm happy to be a part of it again in so many ways, but especially returning with the Wolf Trap Opera Studio.

In 2007 the Wolf Trap Opera Company extended the reach of its mission to include singers who are transitioning to graduate study.  Members of the Wolf Trap Opera Studio sing small roles and ensemble assignments, perform a scenes program, and participate in a broad curriculum including language study, dance, stagecraft, improvisation, and preparation for the business of singing.

The 35 alumni of the WTOS have gone on to Young Artist Programs at Houston Grand Opera, LA Opera, Portland Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, Chautauqua Opera, and the Steans Institute at Ravinia.  Studio Artists have left Wolf Trap for competitive graduate programs including the Academy of Vocal Arts, The Juilliard School, Indiana University, University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, the Manhattan School of Music, Boston University Opera Institute, and the Maryland Opera Studio.

To celebrate the upcoming 4th season of the WTOS, a photo retrospective!

Don't forget Seattle Opera! :-) This season looks so amazing and I'm totally jealous of everyone who is part of it!
